The name field is where it gets suspended.
"ABC Plumbing & Heating | Emergency Plumber Manchester | 24/7 Boiler Repair" is a profile with a countdown running on it. The name has to be the name on the van, and nothing else.
A local profile is not a listing, and treating it as one is the whole problem.
Everything a marketplace teaches you is wrong here. On a marketplace, keywords in the title earn visibility. On a business profile, Google's own guidelines for representing a business say the name must be the real-world name as used on the storefront and the branding — no taglines, no location descriptors, no service details — and stuffing it is the most common reason profiles get suspended. The keywords in your name are not buying ranking. They are buying risk.
What does drive relevance is the primary category, and it is a field most businesses set once, badly, at the start. A plumber filed under "Contractor" has chosen a category that matches almost none of the searches they need. Changing it is thirty seconds of work and is usually the largest single improvement available.
After that comes the field that is nearly always empty. Services is a relevance surface with room for ten or twenty entries — emergency leak repair, blocked drain clearance, boiler service, landlord gas safety certificate — and no amount of rewriting the description substitutes for filling it. Neither does the description carry the weight people assume: it is not a ranking lever worth abusing, and stuffing it with keywords and a phone number is prohibited content rather than clever.
Two more that quietly cost you. Attributes are filters, and unset means excluded from the filtered results a customer is actually using. And "Open 24 hours" against a phone nobody answers at 3am converts into one-star reviews, which depress the profile in a way no keyword recovers.
A real profile, before and after.

Name ABC Plumbing & Heating — everything after the name has to come out
Primary category Plumber. Secondary: Heating contractor, Boiler supplier — only if the business genuinely does both.
Address [MUST SUPPLY: a real address you occupy with permanent signage, or hide the address entirely and set service areas instead]
Hours [MUST SUPPLY: your real office hours] — if you answer the phone at 3am but the office is 8–6, set 8–6 and describe the out-of-hours service in the description.
Description ABC Plumbing & Heating is a family-run plumbing and heating business working across [MUST SUPPLY: areas]. We handle leaks, blockages, bathroom installations, radiator and boiler work for homeowners and landlords, and we carry parts for the most common domestic boilers so most jobs finish on the first visit. Our engineers are Gas Safe registered under number [MUST SUPPLY: your registration number — do not state this without it].
Services to add Emergency leak repair · Blocked drain clearance · Boiler repair · Boiler installation · Boiler service · Radiator installation · Bathroom installation · Landlord gas safety certificate · Tap and toilet repair · Power flushing
Ten services where there were none. That is the highest-yield change on the whole profile and it involves no writing at all.
"Fully qualified and certified" became a demand for the registration number, and that is not pedantry — claiming an approval you do not hold is banned outright, and gas work by an unregistered person is a criminal offence rather than a bad look. The number goes in or the claim comes out.
The virtual office is flagged rather than tidied. A virtual office needs permanent signage and staff present during the hours you state; without them it is a suspension risk, and the right answer is usually to hide the address and set service areas instead. That is a decision only the business can take, so the report puts it to them rather than making it.
How it runs.
- Paste the profile. Name, categories, address or service areas, hours, description, services, attributes, and roughly how many reviews you have and how many you have answered. The review operations matter as much as the copy.
- £7 for 7,000 points. Ceiling of 3,500 on this job; it spends only what the report costs. Three revisions are included, and the usual use for them is a second pass on the services list once you have decided what you actually offer.
- You get a profile audit. The score is capped by anything that puts the profile at risk, so a well-written description on a keyword-stuffed name will not score well. Then the ranked fixes, a rewritten name, category, description and services list, a photo brief, and a review request script with the incentives taken out.
A generation that fails costs nothing.
Fit.
Worth doing if
- Your business name on Google has anything after the actual name.
- Your Services list is empty or has three entries.
- You are in a broad category like "Contractor" or "Shop".
- You have been suspended once and got reinstated without ever learning why.
- You have reviews you have never answered, including a bad one.
Not for you if
- You are currently suspended. This reviews a profile; getting a suspension lifted is a process with Google, not a copy exercise.
- You want the keywords kept in the name. It will take them out every time.
- You want a review-gathering scheme designed. It will strip incentives, prize draws and filtering by how happy the customer seemed — offering anything for a review is prohibited.
- You want a registration or accreditation number found. It will ask you for it.
